Dearest Ray: We send our deepest sympathy for you and David. And many thoughts and prayers for you Ray. Gay was so special to us. She and you have touched our lives in so many ways with great memories that there is no way of stop smiling. :) she will always be remembered as a great fighter and a firm believer in The Lord and in life itself. Knowing that you and Gay loved one another through 52 years with The Lord, gives me a great example in the marriage that you and Gay started for me. :) Always with all my love to you Ray. May God hold your hand and Gay always comfort your smiles in these rough waters. May calm waters lay still and beautiful memories run deep God bless you daily - Amberley Brown

With Sympathy Ray and Family: I first met Gay over 30yrs ago. She always welcomed me with a cup of coffee and good conversation that lasted into the early morning. I always enjoyed listening to stories that reflected her love and dedication to her family, her faith in God and her ability to overcome every situation that life dealt her. Gay had many amazing talents. I particularly remember the angels that she made from popsicle sticks and lace and receiving her handmade Christmas cards. Knowing Gay has enriched my life and the time we shared is cherished.

Ray, David, and Family, Angie and I send our deepest sympathies. Gay was always such a joy to be around. I remember so many times, as she sat there at the counter with a cup of coffee and a cigarette, she would say with an authoritative yet playful voice, a twinkle in her eye, and her lips curling in a grin, “Come over here and talk to me.” And with that, we would settle into a “fireside chat”. Gay was always inquisitive, yet never prying (well maybe a little – LOL), always caring, always positive, sympathetic yet strong. Her words, “He (or she) just needs to get some backbone…” still echo in my ears. In the over 50 years I knew her, I never heard her complain, despite her own struggles. Even when Ray was in the hospital for weeks, and her not knowing whether he would live or die, she was so positive. She was an amazing lady, and she will surely be missed for the rest of our lives. While we experience loss now, we know Gay loved Jesus and lived that love out in her life. Despite our grief, she continues to give us hope and a knowledge that we will see her again before long.
