Andrew E. Harris

Harris, Andrew E., age 70, of Friendly, WV died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born on May 16, 1947 in Piney, WV a son of Blossom Jane Yost Harris and the late James “Bud” Harris. Andrew retired from the former Ormet Corp., Hannibal, OH; a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Paratrooper; was a Christian by faith and loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 44 ½ years, Kathryn Michael Harris; three children: Heather Jolleen (Jeff) Akers of Bruceton Mills, WV, Nathan Andrew Harris of Friendly and Tabitha Lynn (Lemeul) Moore of Green Bank, WV, five siblings: Everett , Douglas and Chris Harris, Shirley Billiter and Carie Clayton; four grandchildren: Benjamin Noak Akers, Haley Cheyenne Moore, Caleb Hugh Moore and Bella Rose Moore; There will be no visitation. Graveside and Military services will be held at Archer’s Chapel Cemetery, Little, WV, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV.
