Ann E. Doig

Ann E. Doig, 79, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on November 14, 2022, surrounded by her family at Stonerise of Parkersburg.

She was born October 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph Hugh Nolan and Ann Malone Nolan.

Ann was a Former Mayor of Sistersville and a City Councilwoman.  She was with the New York Suffolk County Auxiliary Police and she was a Security Guard at North Babylon Senior High School.  She was also President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #6327.  She enjoyed sewing and crafts and she adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Deb) Doig of Sistersville, WV; daughters, Ann (Neil) Munoz of Sistersville, WV and May (Tim) Miller of Davisville, WV; grandchildren, Bryanna (Sam) Brookover, Hannah Dodd, Colin Munoz, Blake Doig, Katie Doig, Terri Doig and Colton Miller; great-grandson Rustin Dodd; sisters, Patricia Watson and Rita Fallen; brother, Joseph H. Nolan, Jr. and several other "bonus" children and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Colin Doig, sister, Jean Perrault and brothers, Edward and Michael Nolan.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the funeral home.
