In Loving Memory of Beverly Henderson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly S. Henderson, a beloved friend, dedicated public servant, and lifelong advocate for her community.

Born on July 27, 1944 in Sistersville, WV, Beverly spent her life serving the town she loved. A proud graduate of Sistersville HS, she remained devoted to her alma mater, serving as past President of the school Alumni Association, where she worked tirelessly to preserve the school’s traditions and strengthen the bonds among its graduates.

Beverly’s commitment to public service was evident throughout her life. She served as a Mayor of Sistersville, 20 years of dedication and service to the City of Athens, a Past President of the All-TWIG Association, and most recently served as President of the Sistersville Public Library Board of Trustees, where her leadership and vision helped enrich the lives of countless community members.

As a faithful member of the Episcopal Church, Beverly lived her life guided by compassion, generosity, and service. She found great joy in reading, hockey and classical music, enthusiastically sharing these interested with friends and family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Wanda B. Henderson, and her father, Charles H. Henderson. She leaves behind several wonderful friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering friendship. Though she had no greater joy than serving others, those who knew Beverly will remember her for her warm smile, gracious spirit, and steadfast dedication to her hometown.

In keeping with Beverly’s lifelong love of learning and community, memorial contributions may be made to the Sistersville Public Library in her honor. Beverly’s legacy of service, friendship, and community leadership will live on for generations. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service to honor Beverly, will be August 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV 26175.
