Charles "Charlie" Eddy

March 26, 1953 — June 2, 2025

Friendly

Charles “Charlie” Eddy, 72, of Friendly, WV, passed away on June 2, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 26, 1953, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Edward Eddy and Hilda Tarr Eddy.

Charlie was not just a good man, but a great man. He touched so many more lives than anyone ever knew. With the passing of his father at a young age, he went on to support his mom and siblings. He learned his purpose was not just building homes, which he did for over 45 years, but to give families a foundation to build memories for a lifetime. Through his hard work and dedication, he built his first home for his wife, Pat, who always loved him unconditionally. He loved his daughter Jodi deeply and was there every step of the way to help her navigate through life. Even in the depths of his illness, he took pride in teaching his grandson, Holden to shoot and hunt. He loved a good meal that always had to include shrimp, cooked only by Bret. He looked forward to deer camp as it was a time he got to spend with loved ones. He was such a strong man until the very end always looking forward to time with family. He loved Christmas and all the surprises it would bring. He always took pride in thinking he knew his present before he opened it. With each passing day, his presence will be deeply missed by the ones he loved and cherished.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patsy “Pat” Wells Eddy; daughter, Jodi Eddy (Bret McComas) of Williamstown, WV; Brian (Sherry) Eddy of Alma, WV; brothers, Mark (Patricia) Eddy and David (Brenda) Eddy; sisters, Darla Collins and Brenda (Ivan Huck) Eddy; grandchildren, Holden McComas and Daniel (Mary) Eddy and great-grandchildren, Hudson, Mason and one on the way, Madison Eddy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney and George Eddy.

The family would like to thank Journey Hospice, “especially Kori” for taking such great care of Charlie.

There will be a graveside burial in Friendly Cemetery on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Don Thomas officiating.

Myers Funeral Home is honored to assist with final arrangements.
