Coleen Brown

Coleen Brown, 59, of Sistersville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Coleen was born in Bellmawr, New Jersey, to Catherine (nee' Irwin) and John Joseph Reynolds. She was raised in Bellmawr, New Jersey and was the youngest of 7 children. She graduated from Triton Regional High School and Camden County Vocational School, where she studied Cosmetology. She moved to West Virginia with her husband after the birth of her children.

Coleen was the beloved wife of Charles Brown, sharing over 40 years of life together. She was also a loving mother to her sons, Cody and Jed (Adell). She is also survived by: her sisters, Kathleen Karlage, Marianne Hommer, Eileen Spence-Hobson, her grandchildren Layla and Miles Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Catherine and John Joseph Reynolds; her brothers, John Reynolds and Michael Reynolds; her sister Maureen Reynolds; and her grandson Holden Brown.

Coleen loved being a granny and wore that title with honor - rarely saying no to her beloved grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan, loving all Philadelphia teams but had a great passion for the Eagles. It brought her so much joy to see them win a Super Bowl. She loved cats, her own as well as all others - constantly sharing photos back and forth with her sons. Coleen was passionate about equality and injustice and was outspoken, yet kind, about this. Although she did not survive her battle with breast cancer, she remained hopeful, loving and positive throughout these difficult months. She will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A private memorial will be held for friends and family at a later date.
