Dana Brent Bohrer, 82, of Sistersville, WV went home to the Lord, December 21, 2025, surrounded by loving family and with the compassionate care of New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation and Journey Hospice.

Son of the late Earl and Lucille Bohrer, Dana was born March 14, 1943 in New Martinsville, WV. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1961, served in the United States Army Reserves, and went on to work for Union Carbide.

Dana was known for his generosity and kind nature towards others, always helping anyone in need when he could. He was also a lifetime member of Sistersville’s Elk Lodge #333 and New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931. A devoted Christian, Dana was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sistersville. He enjoyed tinkering and rebuilding an assortment of things, and most of all, loved babies, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Day and Earleen Bohrer; and two brothers, Lane Bohrer and Nile Bohrer.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Claire Bohrer; daughter, Dana Lynn (Darrel Pilsing); two sons, Corey Bohrer (Crystal) and Shawn Bohrer (Jeni); grandchildren, Montana, Morgan, Carter, Jenna, Macie, Jeramie, Hailey (Chad), and Shelby (Jake); great-grandchildren, Denver, Parker, Graham, Crew, and Raelynn; and brother, Gary Bohrer (June).

Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home in Sistersville. Cremation will follow and a private burial service will be at the convenience of the family.

Myers Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bohrer family.
