Donna Jo Stewart, 78, of Philippi, WV, passed away March 5, 2013 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV. She was born May 18, 1934 in Paden City, WV a daughter of the late Eugene and Ella Mae Medley Weaver. She was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Philippi and a former member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paden City where she taught Sunday School classes. She and her late husband were instrumental in starting the Paden City Volunteer Emergency Squad where she served as a volunteer EMT and an EMT instructor. She also served as librarian at the Paden City Public Library. She was a talented artist and musician, she was a tole painting instructor, a member of the Decorative Tole Painters Guild, and she enjoyed playing the piano and dulcimer. She is survived by one daughter, Charla (Jack) Reger of Belington, WV, granddaughter, Whitney Reger of Belington, WV, grandson, Colin (Jessica) Reger of Morgantown, WV, and great grandson, Keegan Reger of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Stewart on July 1, 2012, and one brother, Michael Weaver. Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paden City where the funeral will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Mike MacAdam officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville, WV. Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV is assisting the family.
