Larry Howard Kimble

Larry Howard Kimble, 79, of New Martinsville, WV passed away peacefully Friday, August 7, 2026.

Son of the late Howard Blaine and Violet Virginia Kimble, Larry was born on August 6, 1947, and spent his life dedicated to God, his family, and community. He was known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering faith to those who knew him. He was a man of integrity and kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a story that would bring laughter to those around him. He devoted his life to serving God and led by example during his time as an Elder at both Muddy Creek Church of Christ and Middlebourne Church of Christ. He spent his time enjoying camping, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles - something he and his late wife enjoyed together. But most importantly, he was a family man, and his children and grandchildren were the light of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Cooper Kimble.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Kimble (Melissa); daughter, Carrie Stephens (Shawn); grandchildren, Jessica Kimble, Makenzie Kimble, Autumn Stephens, and Joel Stephens; great-granddaughter, Amelia Kimble; and brothers, David Kimble (Brenda) and Roger Kimble (Sadonna).

Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home in Sistersville, WV. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 with Siegel Fetty officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Middlebourne Cemetery. Myers Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kimble family.
