Lucy Dailey

Bertha Lucille “Lucy” Dailey, 77, of Friendly, WV, passed away July 16, 2025 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1948, in Madison, WV, a daughter of the late George William Eddy and Irma Lucille Little Eddy.

Lucy was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and DAV. She attended all of the veteran’s events and funerals and was the flag bearer at parades and services. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bingo and the Tyler County Fair and she loved her baby “Suzie Q”.

She is survived by her son, Russell (Crissy) Sabol of Follansbee, WV; step-daughters, Sandy Marsh and Vicky Dailey; stepsons, Roger Dailey and Kenny Dailey; sisters; Donna Folger and Karen Stickley; brother, Roger Stickley and grandsons, Dakota and Tylan Sabol.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Sabol and second husband, Paul Dailey; brother Allen Eddy and step-son Paul Dailey.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm with Clay Folger officiating. Interment will be at Elk Fork Cemetery.
