Mary Elizabeth Baker Stewart

Mary Baker Stewart of Slider Run Road, Sistersville, passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2026.

Mary’s husband, Bob Stewart, preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her father and mother, John and Lucy Neff, a sister and brother-in-law, Etha and Paul Buck, a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Margaret Neff, a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Donnie Grimes; brother-in-law, Harold Ice; and step son, Roger Scott Stewart.

Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her two daughters, Elizabeth Marchese of Illinois and Sandy Spencer of New Martinsville; step son, Neil Stewart; step daughter, Robin Page; sister, Shirley Ice of Sistersville. Mary had three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary attended Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and also worked at Corning Glass in Paden City for 21 years from 1968-1989.

Mary requested that there be no service. A memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience and her remains will be buried beside her husband.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s name to, Journey Hospice at 314 South Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175.
