Mary Frances "Fran" Hall, 91, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on October 10, 2022 at The Heritage.
She was born June 30, 1931, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Wolford and Mabel Pitts Wolford.
Fran graduated from Fairmont Sr. High School and retired from Corning Glass. She was a member of the Red Hatters of Fairmont, WV and she enjoyed oil painting and doing portraits for people. She was Ms. West Virginia Sr. in 1993 and she sang the National Anthem for former President Bush in Parkersburg, as well as singing in her Church and various audiences throughout West Virginia. She also received the honor of "Distinguished West Virginian" from former Governor Gaston Caperton.
She is survived by her son, Greg Hall of Waverly, WV; daughter, Deborah (Denver) Starcher of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Mendy Starcher, Scott Starcher, Kayla "Ruth" Hall, Jacqueline (Jason) Hamilton, Deidra (Stefan) Shearer and Trenton (Kayla) Hall and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hall; brothers, Robert and Roy Wolford; infant sister, Emma Wolford and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hall.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Christopher Longgrear officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
