Leasure, Rachel “Hutch” Marie Shreves Rose, age 85, of Sistersville, WV died Monday, July 16, 2018 at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1932 in Sistersville, a daughter of the late Ernest E. and Onalee Opal Tice Shreves. Rachel worked as a Home Health Caregiver; a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church, Sistersville. She received a Lifetime 4-H Achievement Award; she loved to quilt, sew and crochet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alden M. Leasure; children, Kenneth Edward Rose, Rachel Weekley, Ruth Shields and Orville Shields; five brothers; three sisters and one grandchild: Dorman White. Survivors include one son: Charles Anthony Rose of New Martinsville; three daughters: Nancy Lancaster of Sistersville, Tina (Duane) McDonald of Paden City, WV and Linda (Tom) Owens of Sistersville; three brothers: Kenneth Shreves of Tacoma, WA, Toby (Mary) Shreves of Hopkinsville, KY and Tony (Barbara) Shreves of Paden City; seven grandchildren: Vera Lynn (Jay) Westbrook, Donald J. Lancaster, Martha Yost, Christina Athey, Judi (Barry) McClure, Mary Bassett and Janis (Clyde) Rollins; ten great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 29 at the Calvary Apostolic Church, Sistersville with Pastor David Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Sistersville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosenbaum Family House, PO Box 8228, Morgantown, WV 26506
