Rosaline Virginia Harter

Rosaline Virginia Forrester Harter affectionately known as "Podi" or "Nanny" to her family and the many children she lovingly welcomed into her life, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and countless lives she touched.

Rosaline was born May 16, 1938, in Middlebourne, WV to Collie and Sarah Forrester.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Harold L. Harter, her brothers, Mark Hammel, Bill Forrester, Dick Forrester, Bob Forrester and Gary Forrester. Sisters; Patricia Matthews and Norma Jean Shields. Son-in-law; Jim Means, granddaughter Kayla Means and Great grandchildren Carter and Rose.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter; Patricia Means and son; Mike (Donna) Harter, all of Paden City. Grandchildren; Miranda (Timmy) Haynes, Mikey Harter and Becky (Kenny Davis) Harter. Great grandchildren; Christy (Kyle Stackpole) Billiter, Maryssa (Gage Mongold) Haynes, Colten Grimes and Hunter Tennant, Brother; Don Forrester.

Nanny was a woman whose love was shown through her baking. There was always something warm from her kitchen. She was also a caregiver and mother figure to many. Her recipes, stories, kindness and unconditional love will be remembered for years to come.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Amedisys Hospice Care.

Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
