Ruby Virginia “Simons” Mossor, 92, of Middlebourne, WV went home to be with the Lord December 6, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by loving family.
Youngest of six children, Ruby was born December 1, 1933 to the late George and Maude Simons. She graduated from Doddridge County High School in 1950 and went on to work for the former Union Carbide of Long Reach, WV until she retired.
Ruby was a devoted and faithful Christian, a member of The First Christian Church and attended The Wick United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, and working on the family farm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, three sisters, a half-brother and half-sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles “Chuck” Mossor; children and step-children, Cris Carder (Carrie), Carol Grossenbacher (Randy), Harry “Beep” Carder (Shawna), Kay Mossor, Patricia Kasserman, Richard “Will” Mossor (Shelly), Mike Hickman (Rene), and Mickey Whaley; 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A special thank you to her best friend and caretaker, Patty Glover, and Jennifer Wilson, Adrianne Melot, Kim Todd, Heather Weekley, and Zoey Tanner for their compassionate care.
Funeral Service will take place Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home in Sistersville, beginning at 1:00 PM with Pr. Chuck Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at Wick Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the funeral home.
