Ted Franklin Dalrymple

September 19, 1954 — September 3, 2025

Bens Run, WV

Ted Franklin Dalrymple, 70, passed away peacefully September 3, 2025 at his residence.

Born September 19, 1954 to the late Cecil and Hazel Dalrymple, Ted was a proud life-long resident of Bens Run, WV.
He was a kind and loving man, who treasured his family and friends. He found pleasure in living a simple life and had much pride in all he had done and the life he lived. He enjoyed playing the banjo, bluegrass music, and attending many of the pickin' and grinnin' nights in Friendly, WV with his friends. Ted especially loved spending time with Donna, helping her and her helping him.

He retired from ManPower in Parkersburg, WV, where he assisted in repairs and improvements to housing and homes for those in need. He truly enjoyed his work, as he was always helping someone and meeting so many wonderful people along his journey.

Ted spoke often of his friends from the Senior Nutrition Center in St. Marys. He enjoyed all the afternoons spent sitting at the marina with Gene and the boys, trading stories of days gone by and a little guitar and banjo pickin'.

He was a blend of his father and mother, a strong man with principles and values. If he gave you his word or a handshake, you could bet your life on it. Yet, he was a very gentle, kind, respectful, loving and caring soul.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Downing; brother, Early Dalrymple; and niece Kelsey Judge.

He is survived by his sister, Robin Judge of Friendly, WV; brother, Larry Dalrymple of Friendly, WV; nieces and nephews, Stacy Bills, Jeff Dalrymple, Michael Dalrymple, Frank Downing, and Teddy Downing; sister-in-law, Debbie Dalrymple; and special friend Donna Bennett of Paden City, WV.
Ted shall be missed forever by so many people. He will be laid to rest in Point Loookout Cemetery by his family at a later date. The family will make sure all know and are welcome to join them to say our last farewell to such a wonderful person.

Myers Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dalrymple family.
