Thomas “Tom” Elliott Skinner, 69, of Middlebourne, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Camden Clark Medical Center. Tom was born June 14, 1952, in Sistersville, WV, to the late Sherman and Anna Sue Adams Skinner. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sue Timmons Skinner; daughter, Kelly Weigle and her husband, Brian; son, Adam Skinner and his wife, Heather; Pappy Tom’s grandchildren, Cora Grimm, Mason Skinner, Tyler Skinner, Lucas Skinner, Kenzlynn Skinner, Marlee Weigle (Nathan Teeters); great-granddaughter, Mailiyah Teeters; brothers, John (Carol) Skinner and Harold Skinner; sister, Wilma Mowder; and his special second mom, Ruth Hoover. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Skinner, Robert Skinner and David Skinner. Tom recently retired from Momentive with 43 years of service. He enjoyed going to work and being with his crew. Tom devoted many countless years to the Middlebourne Youth League from coaching, officiating and everything in between. He absolutely had a love for basketball and coaching youth the fundamentals of the game. Tom impacted the lives of the youth of Tyler County through his love of basketball. He loved to go watch his grandchildren play sports, he rarely missed a game. Tom enjoyed watching Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights Volleyball. He will be remembered for his calm spirit, teasing jokes, his unfailing work ethic and his community involvement with youth league. But most importantly, a devoted, loving and encouraging husband, dad and Pappy.
