Ty Ankrom, 28, passed away unexpectedly March 5, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply. Born on September 4, 1997, Ty was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend whose presence brought energy, laughter, and connection to everyone he met.
He was the son of Jamie Jason Ankrom of Belpre, OH and Cindy Rae Wilson Wingate of Jacksonville, FL.
Ty had a passion for sports and fitness from an early age. He turned that passion into a career as a certified personal trainer, where he not only helped people become stronger physically but also encouraged them to believe in themselves. His dedication to the weight room inspired his friends to own their confidence and conquer their minds to win the day.
Those who knew Ty will always remember his wide, unforgettable smile and his winning personality. His smile was brightest around friends and family. Most notably at a music festival where you could find him jumping up and down dancing for hours. He had a natural ability to draw people in and make them feel welcome. Whether it was through a workout session, a game of golf, or simply spending time together, Ty had a way of lifting spirits and bringing people together.
Ty was more than the activities he loved—he was a light in the lives of those around him. His kindness, humor, and genuine heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a protector for those he loved. His dogs, Jigs and Bud, were his favorite companions on daily adventures together.
He will forever be remembered as a devoted son, a loving brother, a proud grandson, and a loyal cousin and friend. Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
Ty’s life reminds us to live with enthusiasm, to encourage one another, and to cherish the moments we have together. Ty’s life reminds us that the true measure of a person is not the number of years they live, but the love they give and the lives they touch. In his 28 years, Ty left a mark that will never be erased. His smile, his strength, and his heart will be carried with us always.
