Our History

The funeral business that became Myers Funeral Home was originally established in 1910 by Mr. Rodney Campbell, serving families in Sistersville and the surrounding region. In 1936, Mr. Campbell relocated the business to its present location at 600 Main Street, where it continues to serve the community today.

The funeral home building itself was constructed between 1890 and 1892 by the Morrison family during Sistersville’s historic oil boom. The Morrisons owned a local lumber mill, which provided access to the beautiful oak woodwork that still distinguishes the building. This craftsmanship remains a defining feature of the funeral home and reflects the area’s rich local history.

Over the decades, Myers Funeral Home has continued the tradition of service established more than a century ago—providing families with compassionate care, professional service, and a meaningful place to honor their loved ones.
