Jack Jacob Craig, 81, of Sistersville, WV, passed away December 7, 2017, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV. Jack was born in Tyler County, WV, on March 27, 1936, the son of the late Hazel Long and Luther Craig. Upon graduating from Tyler County High School, Jack joined the United States Air Force. While initially stationed in Texas, he spent his four years with the Air Force in France after he traded assignments with a fellow airman so that airman could remain in the States with his pregnant wife. Upon separating from the Air Force, Jack, his wife Cindy, and daughter Rose Ann returned to the U.S. and Tyler County in 1959, and where he lived until his passing. Shortly after Jack and his family returned to the States, he went to work for Mobay Chemical and worked there until he retired. He lived out his retirement years fulfilling his childhood dream of tending to his farm properties and livestock, as well as helping his fellow-farming neighbors. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sistersville, WV. Jack was preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Lucille V. “Cindy” Chapman Craig. He is survived by their daughter Rose Ann (Bruce) Lambert, Belcamp, MD; son Roy L. Craig, Lockbourne, OH; grandchildren Matthew D. Bryant (Colleen), and Tony and Drew Craig. Jack is also survived by his current wife, Martha Yoho-Craig, and her daughter Patty (Dan) Willhoite and son Tom (Lois) Wells. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00p.m., Thursday, December 14 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville with Rev. Bob Kincaid officiating and Rev. Darrel Mayfield, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, leading service attendees in prayers. Hymns will be led by Lucy Kincaid. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville.
