Matthew "Matt" Pyles

July 27, 1991 - May 19, 2018

Matthew "Matt" Allen Pyles, 26, of Sistersville, WV, passed away, May 19, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born July 27, 1991, in Wetzel County, WV, a son of Robert Pyles and Vickie Archer Pyles. Matt was an Oil Well Tender with Diversified Oil & Gas Resources.  He loved the demolition derby and riding his dirt bike and 4-wheeler. He enjoyed his old tractor, fishing, hunting and farming.  He was a 2009 Tyler Consolidated High School graduate. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Charlie (Becky Hennessey) Pyles of Sistersville, WV and Mason Pyles of Friendly, WV; girlfriend, Tianna Wherry of Sistersville, WV; grandparents, Chauncey and Ruth Archer of Sistersville, WV; niece, Olivia Pyles; nephew, Ethan Brookover; Aunts, Becky Archer, Bonnie Hair, Darlene (Bennie) Parr and Joyce (Dennis) Southern; Uncle, Rick (Cathy) Pyles; several cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Gay Pyles. There will be a visitation on June 2, 2018 from 1:00 pm until a celebration of his life at 2:00 pm at the amphitheatre near the log building at the Tyler County Fairgrounds.  Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship where you can share stories of Matt's life. The family asks that you bring a covered dish and that drinks will be provided.
