Michael I. Richeson

March 23, 1971 - November 9, 2008

Michael I. Richeson, 37, of Sistersville, W.Va. passed away on November 9, 2008, at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1971 in Parkersburg, W.Va., the son of Emmett "Rusty" Richeson and Shirley Turner Richeson, both of Sistersville. He worked at Certainteed Gypsum in Moundsville, W.Va. and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of Desert Storm. He was a member of BPOE No. 333, the Eagles Club of Paden City and VFW Post 6327, Sistersville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Laura A. Rice Richeson; a brother, Adam Richeson, of Sistersville, W.Va.; and sisters, Barbara Richeson of Paden City, W.Va. and Shawna Richeson and Bonnie Richeson, both of Sistersville, W.Va. He was preceded in death by a sister, Aleta Gale McNemar. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va. with the Reverend Jeff Stemple officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Friendly Cemetery in Friendly, W.Va. with military graveside service by VFW Post 6327 Sistersville, VFW Post 4634 New Martinsville, American Legion Post 67, Sistersville, American Legion Post 86, Paden City, and American legion Post 28, New Martinsville. An Elks Memorial Service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
